HistoryIn 1986, founder and CEO Catherine Downey created Downey and Warren Advertising after years of media production and broadcast television experience. CATMEDIA was founded in 1997 as CATVIDEO. Downey, a single mom, started the firm using her experience in television production and media and project management and built a thriving business while also caring for her young family. Her years of hard work and sacrifice paid off, and with grown children now, Downey has redoubled her efforts to expand her firm to meet the ever-changing needs of federal and commercial clients in today’s fast-paced world. In 2011, Downey changed the company name to CATMEDIA to reflect its expanding services. CATMEDIA has been recognized as a leader among government services contractors. Fully staffed with true innovators, the firm is patent-pending on several training and communications technologies. Additionally, CATMEDIA has twice been named to the Inc. 500 list of the fastest-growing private companies in America.

CEO, Catherine Downey’s leadership, commitment, and strength serve as the foundation for CATMEDIA’s operational standards and practices. Her unique ability to understand the creative world enables CATMEDIA to offer superior solutions to match a client’s message.
Catherine founded CATMEDIA in 1997 as CATVIDEO; drawing from years of media production and broadcast television experience, ending with management of the operational side of WZTV, an independent television station in Nashville, TN, which included: programming, studio, engineering, and broadcasting 24/7.

Scott Dixon brings 20 years of business experience to CATMEDIA. Prior to joining the company, he led the acquisition of key shelter titles from Network Communications, Inc. to form NewPoint Media Group, where he served as President and CEO. Key titles include: The Real Estate Book, New Homes, Senior Living Choices, and most recently, Homes and Land.
Before joining NewPoint Media Group, Dixon held several top leadership positions at Network Communications, Inc., the nation’s largest integrated online and print publisher of shelter titles.
Ronetta L. Andrus, J.D.Director Of Business Affairs & OperationsMore
Ronetta holds a Juris Doctorate from Southern University Law Center. Ronetta has been an integral part of the CATMEDIA team since 2013. Ronetta’s proven ability to manage government contracts, ensure contract compliance, and develop policies and procedures as it relates to contracts, reporting, and compliance make her an invaluable asset to CATMEDIA’s team. Her experience includes contract compliance (both corporate and government), legal research, negotiating, and legal document drafting.
Jonathan L’Hommedieu, Ph.DDirector of TrainingMore
Dr. Jonathan H. L’Hommedieu currently is the Deputy Program Director for the OPM Instructor Management Services team at CATMEDIA, and is responsible for overseeing program delivery. He joined CATMEDIA in 2014 as the Instructor Manager for the Federal Executive Institute after nearly a decade of experience working in higher education in the United States and Europe. He has served on the faculties of Armstrong State University and the University of Turku, Finland where he taught courses on research methodology and foreign relations. Dr. L’Hommedieu has given presentations in over a dozen countries and has been published in peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. L’Hommedieu is an experienced project manager in education, having served on the Executive Board of the Baltic Sea Region Studies Master’s Programme in Turku, Finland from 2007-2010. Dr. L’Hommedieu developed curriculum; managed a highly international faculty; implemented new online and blended courses; and recruited students from around the world. Dr. L’Hommedieu attended the University of Turku where he received a Ph.D. in Contemporary History.
Amy FerzocoDirector of Creative ServicesMore
As Director of Creative Services for CATMEDIA, Ms. Ferzoco also serves as Project Manager/Production Manager. She manages all creative services projects and creative staffing contracts for government and commercial entities. Ms. Ferzoco organizes all aspects of a program from project kickoff to delivery. As such, she is responsible for all planning, organizing, and resource management required to successfully execute projects and meet delivery goals and objectives. Ms. Ferzoco is hands-on in all aspects of pre- through post-production, to include creative development, scripting, videography, and editing. Her excellent track record coupled with more than 10 years of demonstrated experience in industry programming and television, gives her an in-depth understanding of the production process. As a result of her experience, Ms. Ferzoco has developed a wide network of industry contacts and a keen eye for visualizing a script prior to shooting. She also has nearly a decade of retail management and visual merchandising experience with Banana Republic and Esprit de Corps, which augments her creative and management skill sets.
