In its first ever documentary, CATMEDIA delves into the dark world of sex trafficking in America. CATMEDIA is focusing its efforts on a new project unlike any other the Inc. 500 Company has taken on before. CEO, Catherine Downey, and her team are collaborating to create a documentary that sheds light on an issue that is often swept under the rug- sex trafficking in America. This in-depth documentary will examine the dark world of America’s multimillion-dollar underground sex economy, and the lives of the survivors. According to CATMEDIA CEO, Catherine Downey, “Not enough is being done to protect American children from domestic sex trafficking and once a child is recovered it is nearly impossible to get them help. These are American children on American soil and they deserve more from us. I hope this documentary makes a difference.” Each year, an estimated 300,000 children in the US become victims of sex trafficking. These victims are mostly girls between the ages of 11 and 14, and they come from all socioeconomic backgrounds. Proceeds from this film will benefit the nonprofit organization Hope Love Charity as well as victims of sex trafficking.
